Mango Season Is Here: Sol Organica's February Update!
Mango Season Is Blooming
Mango season is just around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited. As the first flowers begin to bud, we’re reminded of the journey from bloom to the delicious, nutritious mangoes we all crave.
Heirloom variety: Mango Rosa offers a distinctive tropical flavor with floral undertones and a refreshing balance of sugars and acids. It is naturally rich in vitamins A and C, minerals, and antioxidants.
Regenerative Organic Certified®: Our mango puree and dried mango support regenerative practices such as composting and reforestation that build soil health and help care for the climate.
Smallholder farmers: Each batch reflects the work of farmers who are improving their land and communities. Sol Organica’s direct-trade initiatives connect their harvests with international markets.

Meet the Farmer: Idalia Ruiz
We partner with more than 250 smallholder mango farmers in Nicaragua and know each of them by name. Mango grower Idalia Margarita Ruiz Rodríguez worked with our agronomy team to implement fruit cutting, tree pruning, pest control, living barriers, and agroforestry practices that improved her farm’s yields and soil health.
“My life has changed; the knowledge I have now does not compare to before. If I don’t know something, they’ll explain it to me, and I can request training and technical assistance.” — Idalia Margarita Ruiz Rodríguez
Before working with Sol Organica, only 30% of her crop could be sold locally. Today, access to international markets allows her to sell 70%, while the remainder is made into juices and jams for domestic use.

From Farm to Finished Ingredient
From the nutrient-rich soils around Nicaragua’s Laguna de Apoyo, our mangoes are grown using regenerative methods. We provide above-market prices and technical support to help farmers produce high-quality puree and dried mango.

Regenerative Practice of the Month
Structural pruning shapes healthier plants, improves airflow, and supports yields. Incorporating vegetative material into the soil adds organic matter, improves fertility, and supports long-term soil health and carbon sequestration.

Sol Organica Updates
